A picture of
harness racing in the 1960s. Although the horses have not changed
very much the drivers now wear 'jockey's colours' and the crowd
are certainly not allowed to stand on the track in these days of
'Health and Safety Regulations'.

A photo from
racing in 2003. Notice the safety barriers for the protection
of the crowd, the drivers wear 'colours' and the small white pegs
on the inside of the track to help prevent accidental overturning
of the sulkies (carts). These are some of the more obvious
changes in later years.
